Derrick Cacioppo: crystals and alternative medicine are both quackery.so who cares
Francisco Schonhardt: In most cases, alternative medicine is the leveraging of the "placebo effect" and as such it strongly relies on the practicer ability to convince their patient that they are deeply interested in their problem and that their "solution" will help them. Granted, there are some "alternative medicines" that leverage actual benefits, i.e. honey and garlic are natural antibiotic but are not as effective as "artificial" antibiotics.Crystals are more "new age" related and relatively few people believe in their effectiveness to be useful in the snake-oil industry....Show more
Jesse Japak: That's a good question.
