Help replacing laptop optical drive?

I suggest maybe taking it a step further and check the writing speeds on the Tx1000's optical drive before you decide to do anythingNext, I would advise you to try not new cds but other datum (Plural of Data) cd's like program specific cds and see if your optical drive can load it fast enough.
