Oda Mauson: A Tivo IS a DVR, but it has tvguide and other features that all DVRs don't. If standard definition is OK for you buy a Tivo with basic lifetime service for $60 on ebay.I love my Tivos. I have used other DVRs and like the features and design of the interface of Tivo. But I have never used Comcast or other DVR.
